POLAND, Lafayette Mourning Medal, 1834, in bronze (50mm) by W.Oleszczynski (Fuld LA.1834.2), obverse, laureate head of Lafayette right, reverse, Polonia mourns at tomb adorned with weeping Indian princess, legend records suffering of Poland and in exergue is date of death, 20 May 1834. Uncirculated and scarce.
