SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (3.40 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. IOVI PRO PVGNATORI, Jupiter nude in fighting attitude to left head to right, holding raised thunderbolt and eagle, (S.7871, RIC 238, RSC 83). Bright, good extremely fine/extremely fine, and scarce in this condition.
