OCTAVIAN (LATER AUGUSTUS), (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, moving with Octavian Italian mint, issued 42 B.C., (3.35 g), obv. Octavian head to right, around CAESAR III VIR R P C, rev. curule chair of Caesar surmounted by wreath partially inscribed CAESAR DIC PER, (S.1536, Cr.497/2a, RSC 55, BMC Gaul 76). Slightly off-centre on reverse, banker's mark on obverse neck, otherwise very good and rare.
