M. OPIMIUS, (131 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.84 gm), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * below chin, tripod behind, rev. Apollo in biga to right, M.OPEIMI below, ROMA in exergue, (S.130, Cr.254/1, Syd.475, RSC Opimia 16). Struck slightly off centre on obverse and reverse, otherwise attractively toned with gold and blue highlights, very fine and very scarce.
