SYRIA, Seleucid kingdom of Tryphon, (142-138 B.C.), AE 17 (4.08 g), Antioch mint, obv. bust of Tryphon to right, with diademed, dotted border, rev. spiked Macedonian helmet ornamented with ibex-horn, **BASILEWS/TRUFWNOS* on left and **AUTOKRATO[ROS]* on right, (S.7089, SC 2034e, HGC 9, 1061, SMA p.73 for type and discussion). Fine - very fine and rare.
