IONIA, Smyrna, (c.2nd-1st century B.C.), AE 21, (9.37 g), obv. laureate head of Apollo to right, within a laurel wreath, rev. the poet Homer seated to left holding staff, type without a Magistrates name and to right **IMURNAI[WN]*, (S.4574, BMC 117 [p.247]). Brown patina, slightly off centred on the obverse, very fine/good fine and extremely rare type with an interesting figure of the seated Homer.
