SICILY, Akragas (Agrigentum), (c.490-483 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group III, (8.52 g), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, [AKRA] behind, rev. crab within small circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, SNG Lloyd 789-793, SNG Cop.27 [Pl.1 similar dies]. SNG ANS 938 [similar dies]). Mount mark and scratches on obverse, otherwise fine/very fine and a scarce type.
