ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.335-330 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.30 g), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, before traces of **LEUKIPPOS* and behind dog seated left, rev. ear of corn, to left META upwards, to right a bird with open wings, (S.415, BMC 79-80, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class B, 3 uncertain dies, cf.SNG ANS 447-9). Very good - fine, obverse corroded.
