ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.340-330 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.50 g), obv. female head to left with hair bound up behind, K behind head, rev. seven grain ear barley leaf to right, META to left downwards, ivy leaf to right, (cf.S.410, Noe 514 [same dies], SNG ANS 384 [same dies], SNG Lockett 401 [same dies], SNG Munich 979 [same dies]). Die flaw on reverse, otherwise fine - very fine.
