VOLUSIAN, (A.D. 251-253), gold aureus, Rome mint (3.65 g), obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Volusian, around IMP CAE C VIB VOLVSIANO AVG, rev. Aeternitas standing to left, holding phoenix on globe to left, raising skirt at right side, around AETERNITAS AVGG, (cf.S.3818, RIC 154, C.10, Calico 3349). Large full flan for the light weight issue, choice extremely fine or better and very rare.
