C. ANTESTIUS, (146 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.94 gm), obv. Roma helmeted head right, [C A]NTESTI behind, X under chin, rev. the Dioscuri to right, dog running to right below with both fore-feet raised, ROMA in exergue, (S.95, Cr.219/1e, Syd.411, B.Antestia 1). Slight planchet flaw to right of head on obverse, otherwise toned very fine and scarce.
