Lot 2478    Session 8 (2.30pm Wednesday)    Military Chits

Estimate $100
Bid at live.noble.com.au
SOLD $70

AUSTRALIA, Townsville, WWII, Catheringa Park Officers' Club, chits for sixpence and for threepence. The first torn, both with small amount of paper loss, good - very fine and scarce. (2)

Camp Cutheringa Park was a WWII military camp at West End in Townsville. The Americans mis-spelt the name of the camp as Catheringa Park, as evidenced by a listing under that name in their 1944 AFPO directory.
