Ex Dix Noonan Webb, 4 December 2001 (lot 260). George Egbert, 1st (Qld Mntd Inf) Contingent, Machine Gun Section, arrived in South Africa in December 1899. In September 1901 Lambert returned to the war as a reinforcement under new service number 606, Sjt Major, 6th Imp Bushmen, later transferred to Doyle's Scouts. MID by Lord Kitchener dated 23/6/1902: LG 29/7/1902, p4855. With research.
