D.McPherson, Enl.15Feb1901 at Melbourne in 2nd Scottish Horse; Disch.25Nov1901 time expired at Cape Town, address after discharge, Ballen, Victoria. In addition to the Contingents from the Australian colonies, authority was given to recruit 250 men for the Marquis of Tullibardine's Scottish Horse in South Africa, mostly from men who had already passed all the qualifying requirements for the 5th Victorian Contingent.
