ELIZABETH II, trial decimal penny, 1963, by C. Ironside, in bronze, obv. Tower Mint logo, rev. two shields surmounted by crown with plain cross, edge plain, 20mm, (3.59gm), (F 795b, cf. Spink 54, 749). Extremely fine, with almost full original colour, of the highest rarity.

Ex Dix Noonan Webb (DNW), Auction Sale December 15, 2005 (lot 425), previously provenance stated as being bought from Christopher Ironside, 1964 and earlier from Spink, Auction No. 140, 16 November 1999, (lot 585 part), where described as F 795a.
