CHARLES I, (1625-1649), Nicholas Briot's coinage, 1631-9, second milled issue, 1638-9, shilling, mm anchor (S.2859) (6.05g). A few light adjustment marks on obverse as usual otherwise attractive light golden brown toned good very fine.

Ex Wakeford Collection, Sotheby 19 Nov 1879 (lot 236) and Alan Morris Collection, bought Baldwin June 1997.
