GREAT BRITAIN, Queen Victoria, sterling silver Proof Pattern Crown, both dated 1840, with milled edge, obverse young portrait of Queen left, after W.Wyon. around VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIARUM REG; F:D: 1840; reverse, rendition of the Three Graces, the exergue plain, around DECUS ET TUTAMEN. Uncirculated.

This was one of several pieces with this die combination which were minted in error, some with milled edges, some with plain. All except one milled edge and one plain edge were destroyed. This piece is unique.
