ROMAN, 1st century A.D., pottery ash shovel, 150x110 mm, uncovered in the Columbarium of the Freedmen of Augustus on the Appian Way. Ex Bateman collecion, presented by Miss Rhoda Hope, 1857. Very fine with labels.
