VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Antioch mint, issued 364-367, 4th Officina, obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding standard with + symbol and Victory, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, Christogram to left, ANT**D* in exergue, (S.4088, RIC 2b, C.28). Ancient graffiti in reverse field, otherwise good fine - nearly very fine.
