GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 241-3, (4.62 gm), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. VIRTVTI AVGVSTI around, Hercules standing right, holding lion skin and resting club on rock. (S.8670, RIC 95, RSC 404). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine.
