MN. CORDIUS RUFUS, (46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.548 grams), obv. conjoined laureate heads of the Dioscuri to right, each surmounted by a star, RV[FVS III VIR] below and behind, rev. Venus Verticordia standing left, holding scales and sceptre, Cupid on her shoulder, [MN] CORDIVS behind, (S.440, Cr.463/1a, Syd.976c, B.Cordia 2a). Attractive dark grey patina, weak in places, otherwise nearly very fine and very scarce.
