GARGILIUS, Ogulnius and Vergilius, (c.86 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.478 grams), obv. Jupiter (or Apollo Vejovis) head to right, with oak wreath, thunderbolt below, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, (S.266, Cr.350A/2, Syd.723, B.i 226); another plated denarius of L.Calpurnicus Piso Frugi, (90 B.C.), (2.816 grams), obv. Apollo laureate head right, rev. horseman galloping right, caduceus above, (S.235, Cr.340/1). Toned, both fine or better, scarce. (2)
