L. CALPURNIUS PISO FRUGI, (90 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.00 grams), obv. Apollo laureate head to right, star below chin, crescent behind head, rev. naked horseman galloping to right holding palm, L.PISO FRVG, CXVIIII below, (S.235, Cr.340/1, B.Calpurnia 11). Off centre on obverse, otherwise good very fine and a scarce sub type.
