MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip III, (323-317 B.C.), AE 11, quarter unit, Miletus mint, (1.36 grams), issued posthumously c.323-319 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. horseman to right, above **BASILEW[S], below base **FILOPPO[U]*, monogram **DH* above, (cf.S.6696, Price P65, Thompson, Miletus VIII, 217). Dark tone, good very fine, well centred.
