SICILY, Syracuse, (c.474-450 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.796 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning charioteer, in exergue a pistrix (sea-serpent), rev. **SURAKO SI ON around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, wearing diadem. four dolphins around, (cf.S.925 [£950], Boehringer 542 [same dies obverse 275/reverse 376], only other reported example in Brussels Collection). Well centred, attractive uneven tone, nearly very fine and very rare.

Boehringer records only one other example from these dies and this noted above.
