JAPAN, WWII Occupation, beer label, Dai Nippon Brewery Co Ltd, Beer, For Use of Allied Forces Only (also Japanese text), four names written on back, perforated 16 S; also, Pidgin English leaflet from General Sir Thomas Blamey to New Guinea natives dated 1945 and bearing Australian coat of arms and heading 'Ol Boi Harim Tok', native in costume on back in colour. Very fine; folds, tears, very good. (2)

Dai Nippon Brewery was eventually dismantled under U.S. military occupation post WWII. However, the brewery was enlisted to provide beer for the troops and the above label is of the type affixed to the bottles.
