INDO-PORTUGUESE, Malacca, King Dom Sebastiao (1557-1578), tin half bastardo, (8.55 grams), 26mm., obv. coat of arms of Portugal, with ring of dots around, rev. three crossed arrows, S B either side, ring of dots, (cf.SS S.08, cf.Vaz SE.16, Gomes Se 03.01). Octagonal shape, good very fine and rare.

Gomes regards this issue as a curiosity or fantasy.
