ANCIENT GREEK AND ROMAN, Syracuse, time of Timoleon (B.C. 345-306), silver 2 litrai, (1.42 grams), obv. youthful Janiform head, laureate, **[SURAKOS IWN]* around, dolphin downwards to right, rev. free horse prancing left, star of fourteen rays above, (cf. s.964, BMC 285); Athens, (A.D. 140-175), AE 22, obv. head or simple bust of Athena right, wearing helmet, dotted border around, rev. Parthenos standing left, **[AQH] N AIWN* around, dotted border, (Kroll Period VC 248); Byzantine AE coins (2); Roman AE. The first good fine and very rare, others poor to fine. (5)

With old collector's notes and a letter describing some of the pieces.
