ATTICA, Athens, (168-32 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.65 grams), issued 153-2 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 121-20 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, within dotted border, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, **H* on amphora, legend across **A QE, to left and right across KA/PAIX / EP**GOKLE* / XAI, ME below, prow at right below, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 533b. Lightly toned, very fine and rare.
