VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Antioch mint, issued 364-367, Officina **G*, (4.45 grams), obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding standard with X symbol and Victory, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, ANT**G* dot, in exergue, (cf.S.4088, RIC 2a, C.28). Has been bent and straightened, otherwise very fine.
