TORTOLA, 1805-1823, type IV countermark, silver quarter dollar or two shillings, 'Tirtola' raised in crude lettering within a shaped indent countermarked on a cut quarter segment of a Charles IV eight reales (7.28 g) (Pr.9; KM.17). Original host coin fine, countermark very fine, scarce.
