GERMANY, WWII, Kreuzer Emden fifty pfennig canteen token in white metal (25mm), obverse, '50 / Kantine / Kreuzer Emden'. Good fine, only listed in brass.

The German cruiser Emden was launched in January 1925 and commissioned in October of the same year, She saw service in WWII mainly as a training vessel but also in other roles in the Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, North Sea and the Baltic Sea. She was severely damaged during an air attack at Kiel and then decommissioned in April 1945 and subsequently scuttled.
