INDIA, (South India, Cholas of Tanjore), Rajendra Chola, gold Kahavanu, (1012-1044 A.D.), (4.32 grams), obv. tiger seated right, bow and torch behind, umbrella above, tiger faces tow upright fishes, torch behind, below legend, rev. as obverse (illustrated), another of Rajaraja Chola (985-1014), gold fanam (0.47 grams), similar to Kahavanu, rev. 'Yuddhamalla', (M.726-728, 741-5, [p.124-125]). Very fine or better. (2)
