ITALY, Novara, printed letter document, relative to events prior to Battle of Marengo, directed to local owners in Vallenzia in Asti, requisitioning urgent supply of all pack animals and horses for delivery of supplies to the Austrian Army, issued under threat of execution for non-compliance, decreed by the Mayor (Novara) and Mayor (Valenza) dated 14 December 1799, hand-written address, together with another hand-written associated document dated 16 December 1799 and bearing Gabella Generale arms. Foxing stains on letter document, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
