QUEEN VICTORIA, Coronation, 1838, in silvered bronze (24mm) (BHM 1864); Scotland, Royal Society of Edinburgh Keith Prize Medal, in bronze (45mm) by C.F.Carter, obverse, bust of John Napier of Merchiston left, reverse, open wreath around, 'Adjudicavit Soc: Reg:Edin:', inside wreath 'Ingenii / Feliciter Exculti / Premium / Keithianum'. The first good extremely fine, the second at one time cleaned but now nicely toned, extremely fine and scarce. (2)

The Keith Prize Medal was inaugurated in 1827 and is awarded for the best scientific paper published in the Royal Society of Edinburgh's scientific journal with preference to Mathematics or Earth Sciences. It is not automatically awarded every year.
