BANK OF AUSTRALASIA, printer's proof for one pound (circa 1838) Launceston 18- No- (MVR type 1?), not numbered, unsigned, on paper, no watermark, imprint Ashby & Co. London, vignette of Royal Arms in centre all within a rectangular border, with Launceston on three sides, two colour printed, blue denomination on black main print. '204 Cls' in pencil on back of note. Right side margin with six mm tear, otherwise good very fine and extremely rare.
