THIRD ISSUE, proof one pound, uniface, Napier, 1st Jany. 1881, imprint of Perkins Bacon & Co London Patent Hardened Steel Plate, Manager area with rectangular cut out, 'to this 28th April/81' added in pencil in centre (Robb.M.326b; L.524; P.S356). Remnants of glue stains on back in corners and a thin, otherwise extremely fine.
