INDIA, one rupee, 1917, Y/99 778303/4 consecutive pair, McWatters signature (P.1e; Jhun.1.2A). Centre fold and small rust mark on first note, otherwise good very fine and rare. (2)
Juhnjuhnwalla states these 'Y' prefix notes were probably circulated in British East Africa (see page 126).
