MEARS, J.W., Wellington halfpenny, undated (A.362). Beautifully struck in the centre, however rims are flattened, possibly struck out of collar (as a test piece?) with central test pin hole either side, otherwise extremely fine or better, with underlying mint red.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 87 (lot 1567) and the Robb Family Collection, previously from Max Stern & Co in 1979.
