U.S.A., promissory notes, The Bank of the United States, Philadelphia, no.8894, Decr 15th 1840, one thousand dollars; handwritten note, November 1, 1866, with revenue stamp, signed by making his (Joseph Anderson) mark, notation on back; monthly statement, Cincinnati, Apl 1st, 1867, notated, signed and stamped by notary and with revenue stamp; Petersburg Savings & Insurance Company, Virginia, Nov 20th 1915, five thousand dollars, with a series of entries on back and five revenue stamps; Citizens State Bank, Grainfield, Kansas, Jany 1, 1917, one hundred dollars, stamped on back three times. Fine - very fine. (5)
