The Melbourne General Motorbus Co with a fleet of 36 buses served Melbourne City to St Kilda, East Brunswick and Camberwell, however the company went into liquidation 15/08/1916. An auction of their rolling stock and plant stock was held in October that year, with the company being deregistered 13/03/1918.
