SCOTLAND, Mary, (1542-1567), silver testoon, Edinburgh mint, 1557, first period coinage, obv. crowned shield dividing M R, rev. ornate cross, (S.5406). Has been gilt and mounted on edge, otherwise fine- very fine and scarce.
