AUSTRALIAN NUMISMATIC SOCIETY, award medal in 9ct gold (53.2gms, 43mm) for distinguished service to numismatics, engraved on reverse to ’T.E.Hanley’ edge engraved ’No. 1 1967’. In case of issue, by Amor Pty Ltd Sydney, uncirculated and rare first gold medal award.

Citation, ’In recognition of long and continuous distinguished service to this Society, publication of several original works and the fostering of Numismatics in all its spheres.’ Award presented on 20 January 1968. (ANS Report 1968 issue, pps169, 172). Ex Tom Hanley Collection.
