MINT BAG, for florins, used for delivery to Australia of the wartime production of Australian florins made at the U.S.Mint at San Francisco in 1944, stencilled with the details, 'U.S.Mint / S.F. / Australian / Florins / 2,000 / 1944'; Commonwealth Bank (Australia) canvas bag used to convey money totalling half-a-million pounds to the Darwin branch from disposal sales after WWII. Scarce pieces of Australian coin history, very fine and scarce.
