U.S.A. Presidential Officer Appointments, three documents namely, 1932 appointment as Captain in Military Intelligence, and 1929 and 1938 both to another officer in the Field Artillery for appointment as Lieutenant and then Colonel; Commanding Officer's Appointment document for a Fifth Corporal in the Governor's Guard of the militia of the State of Wisconsin, 1829; Sons of Veterans of the U.S.A. commissioning document to a Captain from Sabina, Ohio, signed at Cleveland in 1888; Saturday Evening Post, 23 October 1965, cover features U.S.Medal of Honour recipient, Captain Roger Donlan; U.S. Civil War period bottle with basket weave covering and metal screw cap (ref. Lord's) Fine - very fine. (7)

The Saturday Evening Post contains a comprehensive account of the Battle of Nam Dong by Captain Roger Donlan who was commanding Detachment A-726 of the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Featured in the account is Australian Warrant Officer 2 Kevin Conway, AATTV, who was based at Nam Dong as an adviser and was killed fighting alongside the US Special Forces during the battle.
