WHITBY (YORKSHIRE) UNION MEDAL 1857 IN SILVER PLATED COPPER (36MM); another, well worn made into a pulley. Both show extensive die breaks on the reverse. Extremely fine; fine and rare. (2)

Ex W.J. Noble Collection, Sale 61B (lot 946) purchased from Baldwin in 1989, 1992. Whitby was the birthplace of Capt. James Cook R.N.
