CONSTANTINE I, (A.D. 307-337), AE folles, issued mid 310, London mint, (3.078 grams), obv. laureate cuirassed bust to right, rev. radiate and draped bust of Sol to right, T-F/PLN in exergue, (cf.S.3867, RIC 121a); another issued 316-7, Alexandria mint, (3.262 grams), rev. Jupiter standing left, eagle at feet, K-wreath/X/B ALE in exergue, (S.3876, RIC 17 [p.706]). Both rare, nearly extremely fine or better, first with dark green patination. (2)
