ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 218, (2.70 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around VICTOR ANTONINI AVG, Victory running right holding wreath and palm, (S.7553, RIC 156, RSC 289). Struck on a large flan, slightly off centred on both sides, otherwise nearly extremely fine.

Ex Mark Marshan Collection, with his ticket and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 61 (lot 2763).
