HERCVLI R OM ANO AVG around, Commodus as Hercules standing beside trophy, (S.5646, RIC 254a, RSC 202, BMC 346A); Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 198-200 (3.21 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEPT SEV AVG IMP XI PART MAX, rev. around PROVID AVGG, Providentia standing to left, holding wand over globe and sceptre, (cf.S.6354, RIC 139, RSC 587); Caracalla, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 209, Rome mint, (2.92 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev.
