S C across, Victory flying left holding in both hands shield inscribed SPQR, (cf.S.1976, RIC 314); Probus, (A.D. 276-282), base silver antoninianus, Cyzicus mint (3.836 grams), obv. radiate bust to left of Probus cuirassed, wearing imperial mantle and holding eagle tipped sceptre, around IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, rev. hexastyle temple, Roma seated within, ROMAE AETERNAE, XXIV in exergue, (cf.S.12027, RIC 737); Maximianus, (A.D. 286-305 first reign), AE quarter follis, Siscia mint, issued A.D. 305-6, (1.856 grams), obv. laureate head of Maximianus to right in high relief, around MAXIMIANVS AVG, rev. around GENIO POP V LI ROMANI, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, SIS in exergue, (S.-, RIC 169b [R2]). Very good - very fine, last a very rare denomination. (3)
